JOB REPAIRING ROOF OF SALESIANOS SCHOOL IN EL CAMPELLO
Repair and improvement of the old roof of Salesianos school in the municipality of El Campello in the province of Alicante.
Repair of leaks and seepage
The aim of the job was to eliminate leaks and seepage which had been reoccurring in the school over a number of years. Esclapés e Hijos was entrusted by the owner, the Religious Order of the Salesianos, to carry out the job.
What did the job consist of?
The job consisted of disassembling the old flat ceramic tile roof, which was more than 50 years old, and replacing it with an under-tile panel, which succeeded in fixing the leaks and seepage.
The difficulty with this type of work is the need to work at heights. This calls for the use of special support systems for working at heights to avoid risks such as falls, landslides, etc.
Repair and reform guarantee
The only solution that truly guarantees the reparation of the roof is the installation of the under-tile panel, which in addition to solving the problem of leaks, also functions as thermal insulation.
Given the seasonal nature of the business activity of the school, it was necessary to take advantage of the school holidays -in this case the summer – to carry out the work, planning it in a way that it wouldn’t interfere with class routine.
