REFURBISHMENT OF THE GURIA BUILDING FACADE IN BENIDORM – ALICANTE.
Refurbishment and repair of the Guria building facade in Benidorm, located in the province of Alicante, for the Guria Building’s Community of Owners.
The Gurida building in Benidorm was constructed around 20 or 30 years ago. Like many other buildings in Benidorm, its great height remains a prominent feature. It has a medium level of difficulty in terms of the sophistication of its facade.
The state of repair of the building is owing to the materials used in its construction and the natural aging of the materials, in addition to its exposure to the sea air and conditions in a coastal town such as Benidorm.
The state of the facade called for an urgent need for intervention in the form of maintenance, repair and refurbishment of the facade of the building.
For these reasons the Community of Owners of the Guria Building in Benidorm has been involved in the project of refurbishing the facade.
The refurbishment of the facade, along with repairing damage caused by wear and tear, aimed to improve the living conditions within the property.
Essentially the job came down to repairing the walls of the property.
The Community of Owners rigorously inspected a number of construction companies, which specialise in the refurbishment of facades and this type of work. After deliberation, the Works Commission of the aforementioned Community of Owners, decided to hire our company Esclapes e Hijos S.L. for the completion of the job.
COMMENCING THE JOB

The specifics of this job was determined by the characteristics of the particular facade. It is not the materials, nor is it the repair itself but rather the makeup of the facade walls that determine what work is required.
The arrangement of these walls made it impossible to use traditional support resources to carry out the refurbishment work; that is to say it would be too difficult and expensive to use traditional scaffolding or even mast-type scaffolding.
And so what was needed to complete the job was vertical work (off-hook).
VERTICAL WORK
The strategy used to complete the job was to pick up directly from the roof without any other means, similar to a vertical climbing wall.
This strategy requires a very high level of expertise and specialisation in this specific line of work. Our company Esclapes e Hijos S.L. have extensive resources and experience.
