Facade refurbishment and repair works for the Community of Owners of the Mirador de la Cala residence in Villajoyosa, Alicante. Work consisted of repairing cracks and fissures that had appeared in the facade surround, which was the result of time passing and poor initial construction. The repair entailed removing the damaged surround, replacing the slab fronts, and replacing the surround with the same cladding as the existing one. The means of support was dependent upon the great height of the building, and it was necessary to use hanging scaffolding from the main roof of the building. Work on the rest of Residential Mirador de la Cala private urbanization involved refurbishing pedestrian walkways and the entrance to the urbanization amongst other work.
It is worth highlighting that in order to refurbish the access points it was necessary to joint them by injecting polyurethane resins, a novel process and one with great potential in the intervention and repair of foundations in general, whether of buildings, walls or in our case swimming pools.
