REFURBISHMENT AND REPAIR OF THE MUNICIPAL FRONTÓN IN AIGÜES (ALICANTE)

Refurbishment and repair of the Municipal Frontón for the City Council of Aigües in the province of Alicante.

This refurbishment job consisted of repairing the Frontón at a structural level, including demolition, reinforcement and surface repairs, according to the state of deterioration of each gable.

Deterioration due to weather and atmospheric conditions

The property is approximately 20 years old, and is showing its age as a result of its composition, materials and exposure to atmospheric conditions over time, making it a perfect candidate for repair and refurbishment work.

For the most affected and damaged parts, demolishing and subsequently reconstructing the surround was considered the best option.

In the least structurally affected parts, it was decided to remove the lining of the structure to expose it so that it could be treated and repaired before rebuilding it again.

Throughout the surface, all cracks and fissures were treated leaving a smooth surface suitable for use as a sports facility.

In addition, the final finish included painting the vertical walls and treating the floor.
