Refurbishment of the facade of the Copacabana building in Benidorm (Alicante)

Repair and refurbishment of parts of the facade of the Copacabana building in Benidorm. This building is located on the levantine beachfront in the municipality of Benidorm, which is situated in the province of Alicante.

This building’s location on the seafront has exposed it to environmental and atmospheric agents, which has resulted in the emergence of a series of damage and faults, also linked to the natural aging of the materials.

Contracted by the Community of Owners

The works were contracted out to Esclapes e Hijos S.L. by the Community of Owners Copacabana of Benidorm, demonstrating their support and trust in the expertise of our company. We have more than 20 years of experience in the world of construction and we specialise in refurbishment.

Building facade refurbishment

The commissioned refurbishment works included the repair and refurbishment of the floor slabs of the Copacabana building in Benidorm, which, as has been said before, has a seafront location and therefore has been exposed to the aggressive marine environment of Benidorm’s levantine beachfront.

Use of hanging safety platforms

Work began with the installation of a support system which enabled easy and safe access to work sites. In this case, mast type scaffolding, also called zipper were installed. Where these were not suitable, work was carried out using platforms off the roof.

Work continued with the removal of weathered coatings, the application of repair products and final coating with a protective ceramic finish.
