EXTENSION OF DISBESA INDUSTRIAL BUILDING IN POLOP – ALICANTE

In a bid to facilitate the expansion of the distribution and commercialisation of DISBESA drinks and snacks company in the town of Polop, located in the province of Alicante, its industrial building has been extended.

DISBESA has a warehouse for its business activity, namely distributing drinks and snacks throughout the area of Polop in the province of Alicante. In order to improve its facilities, the company made the business decision expand these facilities. This logistics centre is a distribution centre for the entire area of ​​Bendirom, Altea, Finestrat, Calpe, Villajoyosa, Alicante and beyond.

PREVIOUS STATE

DISBESA’s facilities in Polop consisted mainly of an industrial warehouse for storing merchandise until its final distribution.

In addition to the storage area, this building houses administrative and logistics units for personnel as well as serving other business needs of the company.

JOB OBJECTIVES

In order to improve its service as well as repair, maintain and expand its facilities, the company decided to carry out a series of work consisting of:

• Building an annex to the industrial building which houses the company’s offices and administration. Within the current building the current offices and units are demolished to gain storage space for the facilities.
• Expanding the industrial warehouse to create more storage space and optimised loading and unloading areas at the entrance and exit for trucks.
• Repair of the general paving of the grounds to facilitate transit within the grounds.
• Reform of the grounds’ fences.
• General repair work of the current facades to improve the aesthetic of the facilities.

Given our extensive experience in this type of work, our company ESCLAPES E HIJOS S.L. has been entrusted to carry out this work and meet the needs of the company.

BEGINNING AND TRANSFER OF WORKS.

Following the orders of DISBESA to carry out the job, ESCLAPES E HIJOS S.L. got to work and carried out the job in accordance with the specified requirements, with the planned project of works and with the Dirección Facultativa y Propiedad (Optional and Property Directorate) established for that purpose.

The job began with the construction of the annexes to the building, which will ultimately be the administration units once work has been completed. Basically it is a metal structure with sandwich cover and factory enclosures.

In addition to the structure itself, work focused on all facilities necessary for performing its business activity- electricity, plumbing, sanitation, air-conditioning, lighting, data, etc.

The next step was the demolition of the facilities that were to be replaced. They were the administrative units that were initially within the industrial building itself and were removed to improve storage space.

TRANSFER AND COMPLETION OF WORKS.

Once work on the new offices had been completed and the furniture and equipment had been moved to the new offices, the old ones had to be demolished in order to add precious space within the building.

The walls that were not touched during the works are coated to give the old building a rejuvenated appearance.

And finally we finished the work by asphalting the entire surface of the building and adjacent areas.
