CONSTRUCTION OF STAIRCASE AND WALL IN MARÍA AUXILIADORA SCHOOL IN ALICANTE.
The María Auxiliadora school in Alicante required maintenance, repair work and construction in its playground.
This job consisted of the demolition and reconstruction of a staircase as well as the demolition of a retaining wall and its reconstruction.
In the case of a school, construction, maintenance and repair work needs to be carried out in a short space of time, especially at certain times of the year.
The school holidays are maximised so as not to disrupt the everyday school routine and above all to ensure that the work does not disturb the classes or children.
CONSTRUCTION OF THE STAIRCASE

The original staircase was in poor condition. It had deteriorated through time due to the natural aging process of the materials in addition to wear and tear caused by constant use by the children.
It was for this reason that the Maria Auxiliadora School administration decided to schedule the demolition and reconstruction work in the summer holidays.
The demolition was carried out manually with a compressor hammer. The rubble was loaded and dumped in a landfill.
In terms of structure, the new staircase is a gradual sloping slab of reinforced concrete.
As can be seen in the photo report, the job was executed quickly and cleanly, meeting the finish and deadline specifications.
CONSTRUCTION OF THE RETAINING WALL.
Another job that was entrusted to us was the demolition and reconstruction of a retaining wall, which serves to demarcate the border of the school playground.
In this case the demolition of the original wall was carried out by mechanical means since there was sufficient access to the work site.
The wall structure is a reinforced concrete wall, which is shuttered, reinforced, poured, cured and set.
The wall is finished with a metal fence made of galvanized steel.
