Work for community of owners
The community of owners of the aforementioned property has commissioned our company Esclapés e Hijos S.L. to repair the floor joists in this building.
Exposure to the marine environment
Being located on the seafront, this building has been exposed to a marine environment first hand. Such an environment had been highly corrosive to the metal elements of the structure and over time previous repairs and refurbishment works had begun to deteriorate.
Repair and coating works
The works comprised of the removal of deteriorated coatings, removal of concrete which lay in poor condition to expose the metal elements of the structure; treatment of metallic elements to stop the corrosion process; replacement with repair mortar and final coating and painting.
Safety first
One fact which must be highlighted is the complexity of reaching the location of the damage. This involved the use of mobile platforms and other support systems to facilitate access in a safe environment for workers.
