In our 20 years of experience, we have learned to keep up with trends within the construction industry. In the last few years and in the first half of 2017, we have become aware of the proliferation of one type of work in particular, namely REFURBISHMENT.
Since construction of new buildings is still sluggish after the crisis within the sector, homeowners who cannot afford to change their houses have been forced to make investments in their own homes.
Improvement and reform of your home
Work on ordinary houses is sometimes necessary due to defects, breakages, detachments, etc. but work that is not mandatory can be aimed at reforming and improving your home.

It is common that until we have a serious problem, taking action is limited to a simple repair before continuing with life until next time.
And this is not always a bad thing since in many cases damage is limited to the aesthetic of our properties and in order to fix it, the only thing that needs to be done is superficial repair.
But sooner or later, in buildings of a certain type, structure and above all age, this superficial damage is associated with more serious problems which are the superficial consequence of deeper and more dangerous damage, faults in the structure of the building.

There are many faults in the structures which are each studied and reflection upon, both together and separately.
The most common damage that we find is the deterioration of concrete which is subject to high environmental aggressiveness, deriving from the penetration of such aggressive environmental agents into the reinforcements causing corrosion and rust.
And that in summary is only the beginning of a process that, if not properly managed, can put an end to a structure.
Components with habitual damage
This damage is common in components such as slab edges, structural nerves in wet areas and leaks in foundations.
In future posts we will address these aspects in detail, with the aim of helping to raise awareness and understanding of certain problems, which, if not acted upon, can quickly lead to major problems and even threaten the life of the structure.
